Making Field recording
In this lecture, Omid Bürgin talks about his experience in a very different job market: Making quality recording on the field. The lecture focuses on political, ethical, ethnomusicological issues as well as the technical aspects involved. In the first part of the lecture, working procedures are exposed, such as preliminary research, paper work, and working with federal agencies. The second part focuses on technical setups, especially different microphone techniques involved and how they will translate into a final product.
