Homestudio - optimized layout
The client hired OMiD international audio academy in order to include a well-designed Homestudio into a residence in its final construction stages. The main challenge during this project was to optimize the layout in order to accomodate a professional control room and recording environment. This was achieved creating several pre-projects in order to evaluate several layout options together with the client.
Based on a study of workflow the client decided to value the control room and a smaller sized recording space, which should respond well to a full sized drum set. Augmenting the Contol Room guaranteed a professional working environment for monitoring and mixing. The recording room was floated on concrete slabs, in order to guarantee the necessary isolation. The final treatment of the studio incorporated adjustable acoustics solutions, in favor of creative Microphone techniques.
