Acoustic Remodelling of an existing Recording Studio
Based in city of Cachoeira Paulista, Codimuc is a recording and production environment in the catholic segment and since its foundation has strived for high quality audio recordings. This originated an acoustic remodelling of the studio, however, taking advantage of the existing construction. The complexity of this project lied in working a space that needed enormous changes while maintaining the physical status. The solution was to adapt the existing layout by adding elements such as bass-traps, tube-traps, Helmholtz filters and diffusers that did not originally exist in the room, and to use directional wooden plates and a panel on the front wall for the mainfield monitors. The best possible acoustic result was achieved, working within the given limitations.
